Spreading Some Holiday Cheer

Does this letter sound anything like some of your experiences? I borrowed this from someone who shared in on Facebook, recently.

How easy is it for you to treat others with kindness, compassion and love no matter how busy it is or whether it’s April or the week before Christmas?

It seems that often this time of the year brings out some character aspects that are a bit opposite of the whole idea of the season – no matter what holiday (or none) you choose to celebrate.

What are the values and habits that you model for others — your staff, your children, your friends, your family and strangers? Are your actions aligned with your values?

How patient are you in a long line — whether at the store, on the streets or at the mall? Is the world better or worse as a result of your thoughts, words or actions?

I leave you today with a few thoughts that you can use to shine the light on yourself and how you might prefer to be.

“As I grow older, I pay less attention to what men say, I just watch what they do.” – Andrew Carnegie

“Being happy doesn’t mean that everything is perfect. It means that you’ve decided to look beyond the imperfections.” – Author Unknown

“If you judge people, you have no time to love them.” – Mother Teresa

“Peace begins with a smile.” – Mother Teresa

May you have many reasons and opportunities to smile. Peace and Love to each of you.
